Quilts Update

Hunt Comfort has not had any new quilts for over a year now as Mae Lane’s mother passed away. We have many people ask about them and we simply have not had any – this has always been a fun thing for us. We have found two quilts that were made in 2006 or before by Mae and her mom. These are among the very earliest quilts – the fabric is definitely pre-2004 or before our move to Evergreen. We have not built product with this fabric in many years. Fabric is early Mossy Oak pattern and quilt colors are dark. These would be great around the cabin or the campfire after the hunt. These quilts are handmade and one of a kind. Sizes are approximate.

Both of these quilts are found on the Factory Sale page:

Save Money Shipping Suggestion

One of the most common “Dings” or upcharges today on shipping is shipping to
your residence. Hunt Comfort ships anywhere and we just want you to know that
shipping to a business address rather than a residence saves a couple to three dollars
per package typically. Try it and see.

Fur Fish and Game Article

Hunt Comfort has received a great many telephone calls and e-mails from readers of Fur Fish and Game magazine this month. We are very flattered to have received favorable mention in an article titled “Sit Tight for Turkeys” written by one of the genuine statesmen of hunting journalism, Judd Cooney. This is a huge compliment for us and we are very grateful for Judd’s coverage. What we really enjoy the most is that this article pegs what we are all about – keeping still is critical to success and you have to be comfortbale to stay still.

Fur Fish and Game is an excellent magazine that is full of knowledge to be applied afield and to be kept around to be read over again and again. The magazine website is www.furfishgame.com

Our favorite Photo of the Year

Usually after our morning break, we meet to discuss work and often we talk about Hunt Comfort’s calls and e-mail. The one photograph that everyone has remembered and still talks about is from Major Keith Madere and Team Rackmaster serving in Iraq, We sent some Toppers to the men for use in their Humvees. This season we are thankful for the men and women in uniform keeping us free.

Custom Shop Featured Ideas

Every now and then we like to show a couple of ideas which we have done for customers of our custom shop.

Here are a couple of recent designs that presented some interesting challenges:

This is a large triangular hang-on stand seat that is built using two FatBoys for maximum coverage.  This cushion is big and it sits great.

This is a split cushion design.  Unique to the cushion design are rounded edges on both inside top cushion surfaces.  Cushion is based on the FatBoy.
